Volunteer FAQs

  • Volunteers of all sexual orientations, gender identities, backgrounds, abilities, and experience levels are encouraged to get involved. Allies are welcome and valued. What matters most in our volunteers is a genuine commitment to respect, inclusion, and human rights.

  • Volunteer tasks can require anywhere from just a couple of hours a week to up to twenty hours a week. Whether you want to become a lifelong volunteer or can only offer your help for a limited time, RFF will be happy to involve you in this important work.

  • RFF is always looking for individuals to help with communications, finances, event coordinating, research, grant writing, proofreading, and administration. Based on your interests and skills, we’ll help match you with a volunteer role and tasks that works well for you and supports our organization’s needs.

  • Not always. Many roles require only enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Some positions may require specific skills, training, or experience.

  • Yes! In fact, most RFF work is done remotely.
