Educate places of worship to be inclusive and affirming of 2SLGBTQ+ people and their allies, while also providing these institutions with tools, strategies, and actions that will address religious-based homophobia and transphobia in their own communities. A religious attack requires a religious response.
Provide safety for 2SLGBTQ+ seniors in senior care institutions and organizations, especially those will religious affiliations. Many 2SLGTQ+ seniors are pressured to deny their sexual and gender identities in the final years of their lives, most often justified by religious beliefs that if a person confesses their so-called sins, they can be saved. RFF can provide workshops and training to staffs and clients at senior care institutions and organizations to ensure that 2SLGBTQ+ seniors can spend the final years of their life in peace and with dignity, and receive the much-needed health care, from a 2SLGBTQ+ affirming perspective, they need.
Create inclusive, affirming, and supportive communities for 2SLGBTQ+ youth in faith-based schools to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness, while allowing these brave youth to thrive in their educational and religious communities. This will ensure that 2SLGBTQ+ youth in faith-based schools can love themselves as their full, authentic selves.
