Have questions about faith and sexuality?
We have answers!

Many people have experienced that being part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community means you cannot be religious or will not be accepted in faith communities. However, there are many diverse practices within religious traditions, and many faith communities include and celebrate 2SLGBTQ+ individuals.
At RFF, we believe that sexuality and spirituality are not in conflict and can coexist in affirming ways. Across many religions, values such as love, inclusion, justice and compassion for others fully support the participation of 2SLGBTQ+ individuals. -
No, we are not affiliated with nor do we promote a specific religion. RFF is interfaith and inclusive of all people and all religions. We work with people from all religious backgrounds, as well as those who are spiritual, questioning, or non-religious.

A safe space is an environment where people can express themselves fully without the fear of discrimination, hate, judgement, or exclusion. This could be a safe worship space, school, or healthcare institution.
RFF works to create these safe spaces for everyone through research, educational initiatives, and consulting with the community. We encourage everyone to respect all identities, names, and pronouns, as well as engaging with others in an empathetic and respectful way.

Trans inclusion involves creating environments that are safe, affirming, and accessible for transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse individuals. This includes using a person’s correct name and pronouns, respecting gender identity, ensuring accessible and appropriate facilities and services, and challenging transphobia. At RFF, trans inclusion is a core part of our commitment to inclusivity, dignity, and human rights.

Pronouns are one way for people to express and affirm their gender identity. Using someone’s correct pronouns shows respect and a safe and welcoming environment.
We are all human and make mistakes so when/if that happens, simply correct yourself and continue the conversation.
