The 2012 ILGA World Conference focused on the experiences of LGBTI people of faith from the Global South, leading to the creation of the Global Interfaith Network (GIN). GIN provides a safe space to share best practices, develop resources, and strategize for decriminalization. It aims to be relevant to all faiths and contexts. The 2014 Johannesburg conference continued this mission, maintaining an accessible online community to support Global South LGBTI people of faith.
